HER EXCELLENCY, MRS. ABIODUN APPLAUDS OYEGBOLA-SODIPO FOR HIS DEVELOPMENTAL STRIDES IN THE COUNCIL AREA, COMMISSIONS MODERN SHOPPING COMPLEX AT LAFENWA ABEOKUTA

Ogun State Governor's wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun at Lafenwa on Friday 4th of April 2025 has expressed admiration to the Council Chairman Abeokuta North Local Government, Dr. 'Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo for the  completion of Shopping Complex at Lafenwa Market in Abeokuta; Capital of Ogun State while officially Commissioning the Modern Shopping Complex.

Mrs. Abiodun stated that the modern shops mark significant milestone for the Local Government Area which will foster a conducive environment for business activities, enhance orderliness and by assurance boost revenues for the administration 

"His work is not just transactional, he has not come here to transanct business; his work is transformational for what he is recently doing", Mrs. Bamidele commended.

She commended the Council Chairman of the Local Government Area for his commitment to completing the project, which was initiated by his predecessor, Prince Adebayo Abdulsalam Ayorinde on 16th of July, 2024 thanking him further that the Lafenwa Market Shoppping Complex is not only for trade but also for food security 

Encouraging further collaboration between the government and traders in Lafenwa to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a favorable atmosphere for commerce.

Speaking earlier, the Council Chairman, Dr. Oyegbola-Sodipo appreciated Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for giving his administration to exploit the seat of the governance in a sustainable way that will benefit the society of which part of it is what the people are seeing recently. He extended his gratitude to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun for honoring them to commission the Shopping Complex.

He added that what they are seeing in Lafenwa Market is just a face of redevelopment, further said there are about four similar projects in different locations in  the Local Government Area that are nearing conclusion very soon. He, however, pleading for unflinching support from the traders in Lafenwa to bear with them and ensure utmost sanitation of the environment for business to thrive more. 

Nevertheless, thanking all APC political leaders, community leaders and all Baales that graced the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Hon. Hamzat Ganiyu, Senior Special Assistant on Inter Ethnic Affairs to the Governor, Prince Hadi Sani, APC party leader, Alhaja, Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, State APC Publicity  Secretary Hon. Adelani,   the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Adelola Matemilola who was represented by Chief Olusola Aderoye, Head of the Local Government Administration, Mrs. Kikelomo Ajayi,  Councilors of the Local Government, executive members and other prominent figures, who expressed their admiration for the short while achievements pledged their support for the administration.
