OGUN LGSC READY TO HOLD YEAR 2024 LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE WEEK

...... Rolls out activities for the 2-day  event to mark the annual Local Government Service Week for the year 2024.

The task of standing out by building a culture of sustainable development at the grassroots, repositioning Local Government Service and adequate welfare of workers remain key to the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission.

Towards ensuring this , the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, ably led by the indefatigable Chairman, MS Olivia Olubukunola Onabanjo has concluded all arrangements to hold the 2024 LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE WEEK, with the theme, " REPOSITIONING LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE TO A POINT OF REFERENCE IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE."

According to the source, credited to the Management of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, a  2-day of loaded activities which is scheduled to kick start from Wednesday, 2nd October, 2024 has been lined up with series of remarkable programmes to make the annual event a memorable one.

This year Local Government Service Week will be heralded with a public lecture on Wednesday, 2nd October, 2024 ,  billed to commence from 10am to 12pm at Oba's Complex, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Oke-Mosan while on the same day, beginning from 2pm to 6pm , cultural troupe display from the four zones of the state (RIYE) will take the center stage while indoor games such as " Ayo Olopan" , Ludo , Whot card game and many more will be taking place simultaneously at the Local Government Service Commission, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The grand finale to draw the curtain on the 2024 Local Government Service Week will hold at DLK Events Center, Abiola Way, Abeokuta on Thursday, 3rd October, 2024 with Gala Night/Award of Excellence of different categories to honour the deserving Local Government workers in order to motivate them and encourage healthy rivalry among members of staff of the Local Government Service. The programme is scheduled to hold between 2pm and 6pm. 

Dignitaries from all walks of life are being expected to grace the event, with maximum security guaranteed at the various designated venues.
