Ogun Community Cries Out To Governor Abiodun Over Deplorable Road In Imala





Residents of Imala, Abeokuta North Local,  Ogun State have lamented the deplorable state of the 7.5 kilometers road in the community.





It was gathered that the bad road that crossed Imala township was constructed by Chief Obafemi Awolowo before independence





The community leader, Mr Steven Adetomiwa  who spoke with our correspondent appealed to the Governor of Ogun State,  Prince Dapo Abiodun to come to their aide in rehabilitating the road, saying that the road needs urgent attention from the government.






He said that they have written severally to appropriate quarters concerning the bad road but nothing has been done on it.




According to him, the deplorable condition of the road  has caused hardship to residents of the  community and the commuters.




The community leader pleaded for the intervention of the Governor  Abiodun who, he described as a listening Governor.




Mr Steven Adetomiwa disclosed that condition of the road is nothing to write home about,  saying that the community had been intervening in the patching of the road to make it motorable.



“We are pleading for Governor Abiodun' s intervention on the deplorable road which was constructed by Obafemi Awolowo before independence, the 7 kilometers road that cross Imala township should be prioritized as it's deemed to be one of the worst road in Ogun State.



"We the entire citizens of Imala plead with honorable commissioner Engr.  Akinsaya and our dear Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to spread the construction and rehabilitation of the road project to our community, ward 14 that overwhelmly voted for his re-election, we deserve recognition" he concluded
