OBAFEMI LAND TUSSLE: YOUR EMERGENCE AS CORONET OBA IN OBAFEMI IS A BOTTLENECK ON US " — LANDOWNERS RESPOND

 BY: KOLA SODEINDE, ABEOKUTA

Landowners at Agboro in Obafemi, Obafemi-Owode Local Government have specifically responded to the position of a Kabiesi, Oba Taofeek Owolabi Kayode; the Coronet Oba in Obafemi land on his irregular response to his alleged  accusation who unconsciously took over their lands; stated that his reply was inarticulate and his emergence as Coronet Oba in Obafemi-Owode is a hindering to the developments of the land
You will recall about two weeks ago that the landowners in Agboro alleged the Coronet Oba in Obafemi, Oba Taofeek Owolabi that he made the Communities to be under siege of conspirators  sent by him since December 24, 2023 said to scare them away from their inherited lands possessed by their fore-fathers. Now the head of the community, Chief Olatunde said his response lack correspondence obviously that he did not invite any of the family for dialogues but purportedly created impalpable anxiety in the minds of the residents in the villages by claiming that his fore-fathers were the founder of Agboro now in his maverick response to the alleged land grabbing stated that he bought the expanse of lands, from who?
Therefore, "on behalf of the Communities in Agboro land and beyond, we will want to tell the General Public that there is know iota of truth in the position of Kabiesi, Oba Toafeek Owolabi, Olu Obafemi, in Obafemi Owode Local Government".

The affected landowners made it known to the caveattimes newspaper correspondent this weekend that Ogun State House of Assembly Committee invited them including Oba Taofeek Owolabi to the meeting but he did not feature devised his way of not coming.

Chief Olaseni Adeoye, in his reaction to the professed statement of Oba Taofeek said, how could Oba invited investors with his self-centered actions; egocentrically thought to sell lands that belong to their ancestors without the consent of  landowners?  Added that, for the coronet Oba, Oba Taofeek Owolabi to sell expanse of lands who he said were bought from one of the lineages in Agboro howbeit, Chief Adeoye vehemently challenged the Olu Obafemi to present the family/families who sold the land for him/investors telling the general publics that his position cannot hold water.

That all what the families want is, Olu Obafemi to distance himself from the land and to return the money he had collected from the so call investors and allow peace to reign in their lands.

Chief Adeoye traditionally said that his kinship does not extend to Itoko, Ajala let alone Agboro. That Oba Taofeek is not a first class Oba but Coronet Oba in Obafemi Land, advised him to stop parading himself as Olu-Ijeun that he is a Senior Baale in Obafemi Land who got promoted to Coronet Oba in, only Obafemi Land by the Alake and Paramount  Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Dr. Micheal Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo challenge him to prove this in Ijeun and Egbaland.

Briefing the media today Sunday 7th of July 2024  explained further that there are seventh indigenous families who owned the lands in which the Olu Obafemi, Oba Taofeek Owolabi unconsciously sold. Calling on the State Government to, in swift time interfere before it graduates to pandemonium effect in the communities.
