Hon. Jones Calm Supporters, Says Delay Won't Derail PDP Congress






In a bid to give assurance and bring calmness to his supporters in People Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Olumide Jones reaffirmed his promise to his teeming supporters, asking for their continued confidence and to remain focused in their loyalty to the party.

Hon Olumide Jones, who was a senatorial aspirant in the last general elections under the People Democratic Party, made this known via mail sent to our correspondent. 

In the letter received by our correspondent. the easy-going Hon Olumide Jones acknowledges the general shock of the citizens by the news of the postponement of the congress which was scheduled to hold on July 27th.

He said that he believed that the decision of the National Working Commitee to postpone the congress was in the best interest of the party and he assured everyone and especially members of the party that all will be well. 

In his words, he said that every Nigerian especially Ogun state indigenes are waiting for the emergence of PDP and as such, there is a need to be well prepared as the party couldn't afford to disappoint Nigeria, especially Ogun state indigenes.

Hon Olumide jones  also reassured his teeming supporters that all the promises he made to them will be fulfilled. 

He said in his word  that the current tensions in the country has made him defer the process until the country is seemingly calmer.

He added that "we have to hold on and prioritise the safety of our people. Business and other activities can only strive where there is peace and we are looking forward in hope to what the future holds and upcoming events in the next weeks of the country. We are praying that things will get normalized and that we will continue our employment program".

His letter goes further to read, "We were supposed to take delivery of the first batch of POS Machines this week, but we are now prioritising the safety of our people before planning public gatherings. We hope to take delivery as well distribute the POS machines as soon as safely possible."
