As parts of its contributions to the welfare of members of the Society, Junior Chamber International (JCI), Rockcity has again extended hands of generosity to the first set of babies born on first of January 2021.
JCIN Amb. Abayomi Adegbite, the
incumbent President who led other delegates to the General Hospital, Ijaye Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital said the gesture was out of love and to fulfill parts of plans they had in year 2021.
According to information gathered from the management of the hospital, the first baby of year, a bouncing baby girl was delivered via Caesarean Section at exactly 12:01am.
Adegbite stressed that his group had visited other hospitals before arriving at the General Hospital where they met the baby's parents, Mr and Mrs Rasheed.
On his parts; JCIN Amb. (Dr.) Hazzan Kafidipe, Chairman of the "Baby Of Impact" said the parents were gifted baby items and cash gifts.
According to him "On the same day, five other babies were delivered. So, we gave out cash gifts to other babies."
''In fact their mothers, staffs of the hospital were very happy as they showed appreciation and prayed for the organization, Dr Kafidipe explained.''
